Our original flying site was located at the Volusia County Fairgrounds. When the fairgrounds needed to expand, we move to a location on SR 40 in Ormond Beach. This site was a wetland area and would often flood but the land changed hands and we once again moved. Our next site was on SR44 in New Smyrna Beach. This site was an old chicken farm and we were able to use the concrete slab from one of the old coops as a landing strip.
Our current site is located on Volusia county property off CR415 (Tomoka Farms Road) near the Volusia county land fill. If coming from SR92 (north), the entrance is after the landfill on the west side of the road. If you are coming from the south and have reached the landfill, you have gone too far.We offer two covered pavilions with concrete pads. There is a main, large pavilion with picnic benches. The second pavilion is located by the helicopter flying area. The flying site does not supply electricity, trash pickup or running water.
Because the flying site is on county land, we are required to keep the property locked. If you are a visitor, feel free to wait outside the gate. Your best bet is to arrive anytime between 8:45am and 9:30am when members often arrive and you may follow us in.

This is a long form text area designed for your content that you can fill up with as many words as your heart desires. You can write articles, long mission statements, company policies, executive profiles, company awards/distinctions, office locations, shareholder reports, whitepapers, media mentions and other pieces of content that don’t fit into a shorter, more succinct space.
Articles – Good topics for articles include anything related to your company – recent changes to operations, the latest company softball game – or the industry you’re in. General business trends (think national and even international) are great article fodder, too.
Mission statements – You can tell a lot about a company by its mission statement. Don’t have one? Now might be a good time to create one and post it here. A good mission statement tells you what drives a company to do what it does.
Company policies – Are there company policies that are particularly important to your business? Perhaps your unlimited paternity/maternity leave policy has endeared you to employees across the company. This is a good place to talk about that.
Executive profiles – A company is only as strong as its executive leadership. This is a good place to show off who’s occupying the corner offices. Write a nice bio about each executive that includes what they do, how long they’ve been at it, and what got them to where they are.
